Flat Peridotite Cobble

This cobble is about 20 cm in diameter and about 3 cm thick. The water scoured it so nicely to show bands of pyroxene (black to grey-green multicrystalline zones) and dunite (dull green stripes) that date to movement within the earth's mantle.
