Yes, Virginia, folds do have axial planes.


This 3 cm white band in mylonitic carbonates from the Aliakmon Valley, is folded.
But wonders of wonders, fine late veins of carbonate are filling in axial planar spaces.

It works just like the textbooks say it works!
